There's No Place Like Home

I can't help but focus on the socks...
I have been told by my parents that I have about 40something days left of school and then I'll be able to come home for...indefinitely. It's nice being here with everyone and of course, my puppy who I haven't seen for about a month.

Being back here has made me a little concerned about what my routine is going to look like, especially for the summer. I'll be working on a "new" project - finishing my research project. It's not exactly new, but it seems like I'm going to be tackling it in its entirety, since it doesn't look like a lot will be completed in the next five weeks. I'm anxious...

I also had a thought-provoking unexpected meeting at Ruby Tuesday tonight. I went with some friends from high school and was approached by a woman because I was wearing a Tri Delta sweatshirt. I don't even know if I'm in Tri Delta anymore, so it was an awkward exchange, but she wanted me to join the Cleveland Alumnae chapter. Previously, I didn't consider, but as I thought about coming back to Cleveland, potentially for quite some time, I humored the thought of having a social network or a networking opportunities that could be professional. The woman asked for my phone number, and I gave it to her, so maybe I'll chat with her about it in the future.

Week 11 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

Monday, I attended the world's most monotone speaker. I had intended to go to abs, but the speaker didn't end quite early enough and there were Swedish meatballs after the talk... On Monday night at 8:45, Swedish meatballs > Hardcore abs

Tuesdays are becoming my favorite workout day despite the fact that they seem a little crazy. I ran five, went to TRX, and went to spinning. The craziest part was that after spinning, I still had this feeling that I wanted to move more. But rationally, I figured I needed a little more food after that. TRX is becoming one of my favorite things. I actually was able to "hold" side planks for the full minute. I say "hold" because I simply didn't put my hip down, but I was cheating a little with my free hand supporting some of my weight.

Wednesday, I ran five. I wasn't very motivated for that run, but it went well.

Thursday I drove home.

Friday, today, I ran three with a friend from high school and then got on the cross-trainer for 30 minutes. I should have stretched out a little more, but I didn't.
